You want to stay healthy and fit in the fall and winter. You want to get throught the cold and wet time without a flue. Then you have to get your immune system up to speed quickly.
This is not as difficult as you think and a good immunesystem is not only good for the cold time of the year but can also protect us from chronical deseases like cancer and cardiovascular diseases.
in the following paragraphs I will show you few and simple tricks to bring your immune system up to speed.
Firstly – an healthy intestine
Science has shown that the foundation for well-functioning immune system is a healthy intestine. In the intestine over 70% of all immune cells are located. Because of this a natural diet is the be-all and end-all. Natural diet means eating food without additives and eating non processed food that is ideally organically grown. In this food there are more bacteria and these bacteria are needed for a health intestine.
Secondly – Bacteria
In order for the immune cells in the intestine to function, they need a large number of microbes, i.e. bacteria. Experts advise everyone not to pay too much attention to hygiene. One should not clean with chemical additives, they have an antimicrobial effect and destroy bacteria. Also important: walks in the forest, gardening and contact with animals, preferably on the farm. The diversity of bacteria is incredibly high, this diversity is needed for the human body to get a good functioning immune system. In the past, people were placed in the cowshed to heal.
Thirdly – Healthy teeth
Healthy teeth, healthy people: Chronic inflammation in the jaw keeps the immune system under constant stress. A lot of people have inflammation because root canal treatments have been performed or teeth have been removed and the wounds have not healed properly. However, this can only be recognized by a special examination by a holistic biological dentist. Experts recommend that everyone who is susceptible to infections to have it checked out.
Fourthly – Sufficient relaxation
Stress is a great enemy of our immune system. When we are under stress, the immune system is suppressed. Many people know this: After a stressful phase at work or in private life, they get sick. You should try to go through life relaxed to stay healthy and have a strong immune system. A good starting point is to accept a situation as it is and accepting it instead of resisting it. This is a first active step towards reducing stress.
Fifthly – Regular exercise
The immune system needs micronutrients. They only arrive at the cell if we exercise enough. In addition, the muscles release many messenger substances, so-called myokines, when they are in motion. These have a positive effect on the immune system and are “wild cards for the immune system”. A good amount of exercise: at least 10,000 steps a day, doing yoga or weight training once or twice a week.
